Physical Description
Two almost identical sepia stereographs mounted on thick brown card. The images show girls maypole dancing on the Exhibition Oval, to celebrate the American Fleets visit to Australia in 1908. The west side of the Exhibition Building is visible in the background. Umbrellas raised in the crowd suggest it may have been raining during this event. The girls are wearing either white or black dresses with black stockings. A large crowd is assembled to watch the performance.
