Chain made of rubber bands by a Japanese girl in 1982.

This object is part of the Australian Children's Folklore Collection. The ACFC is unique in Australia, documenting contemporary children's folklore across Australia and in other countries, reaching back to the 1870s. The Collection has a strong component of research material relating to Victoria.

Physical Description

Three rubber bands, joined together to demonstrate how a rubber-band chain is made for elastics and skipping games. Rubber bands have perished and hardened, and two are broken into pieces. Acknowledgement: Australian Children's Folklore Collection, Museum Victoria.
