Summary
Baggage label issued by the Bergan Line. It was collected by Donald Dott during his travels between Australia and Europe in 1954-1956.
Many ships carried both tourists and immigrants, and documents such as dinner menus, luggage labels, and King Neptune certificates were provided to all passengers.
Physical Description
Rectangular single sheet luggage label printed green and black on white paper with dye cut at 45" angle across two corners. The front image depicts a map of England on the left and Continental Europe on the right, both in the background, while in the foreground there is an image of a ship. Accompanying these images is some white and black text. The reverse side of the label contains black text on a white ground with two green stripes running through at a 45" angle.
