Summary
Christmas Card sent to Director of the REB Trustees Linton Lethlean by the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Councillor Winsome McCaughey, Christmas 1988. The card features a photograph by Mark Fenech of the REB dome and southern facade festooned in fairy lights which had been installed for Australian bicentenary celebrations.
Physical Description
Folded rectangular card. Gloss photograph of the Royal Exhibition Building at night, decorated with 'fairy' lights. The lights of the suburbs are visible in the background. The front of the card is cream, and a cutout in the shape of a Christmas Bell. Part of the coloured photograph is visible through this. The Card is inscribed from the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Cr Winsome McCaughey to Linton Lethlean, Director of the REB, 1988. On the back of the card, the City of Melbourne coat of arms and text giving information about the lighting display.
