Summary

This is a colour postcard of three views of Melbourne, including one of the eastern facade of the Royal Exhibition Building & Centennial Hall circa 1990. The other two views are of St Paul's Cathedral at dusk and the State Library and Science Museum. The postcard, which is unused, was published by Nucolorvue Productions.

Centennial Hall was opened on 1 October 1980 by Princess Alexandra, to coincide with the opening of the International Centenary Exhibition. As part of her Royal Visit, Princess Alexandra also bestowed the Royal title on the Exhibition Building.

Physical Description

A colour postcard containing 3 photographs of Melbourne. Each photograph is separated by a thin white border. The left half of the card is a picture of St Paul's Cathedral. On the right hand side the top image is of the Royal Exhibition Building and the bottom is of the State Library. On the reverse of the card there is space to write a message, an address and to place a stamp. The card is unused.
