Summary

This is a colour postcard of seven views of Melbourne, including one of the southern facade of the Royal Exhibition Building with the lake in the foreground, circa 1990. The other six views are of the Yarra River at sunset, a city streetscape with cars and trams, Cook's Cottage in the Fitzroy Gardens, an aerial view of Melbourne, a beach scene and Collins Street. The postcard, which is unused, was made by Biscay Greetings Pty Ltd, Melbourne.

Physical Description

A coloured postcard featuring 7 colour photographs of Melbourne. In the centre of the postcard is a view of the southern facade of the Exhibition Building with the lake in the foreground. A woman is sitting and sketching by the waters edge. On the left hand side are views of the Yarra River at sunset, a streetscape and Cook's Cottage in Fitzroy Gardens. On the right hand side there is an aerial view of Melbourne, a beach scene and another streetscape. On the reverse of the card there is text about Melbourne and space for a message, address and a stamp. The card is unused.
