Summary
This is a black & white postcard of the Exhibition Building, showing the southern facade with the lake in the foreground, post 1905. The postcard, which was made by Robert Jolley, was sent to JB Roberts, c/o Mrs Skillman, 52 Penn Road Villas, Holloway, London.
Although the black & white photograph on this postcard depicts the Exhibition Building in the 1800s, the postcard was not manufactured until 1905 at the earliest. The division of the reverse of the postcard, allowing a message to be written on one half and the address on the other, was not permitted in Britain until 1902 and Australia until 1905.
