Summary
Metal ashtray with a matchbox holder attached through centre. Made from a used two-pound (2 lb) shell during World War II by a family friend of the donor while they were serving at Puckapunyal.
Physical Description
Metal ashtray with a matchbox holder attached through centre. Ashtray has army badge attached to one side with three sections for laying cigarettes. Match box holder is attached to inside centre of shell on a stem with a section that when a match box is placed over this section the match bow remains open ready for use. Kangaroo over a boomerang on one side of match box holder.
