Summary
Wooden two-seat school desk, used in a classroom at MacRobertson Girls' High School, circa 1950s. Last used around 1975. The desk was originally lent for display at the Museum in the Story of Victoria exhibition in 1985, and was subsequently donated to Museum Victoria.
Physical Description
Wooden two-seat school desk. Top of writing surface lifts up to provide storage space. Ridge in top of desk for pencils and pens; hole for ink well - used when children wrote with pen and ink.
