Timber Wash Trough made circa 1910. It was used in a mental health hospital in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia
Physical Description
Large rectangular, wooden wash trough divided into two equal sections by wooden dividing wall. Both sections have a plughole to allow for release of water. Piece of lead on each side of divider perhaps used to attach trough to wall by suspension. Two very long metal screws at each end of trough to attach sides and ends of trough. Back side of trough is flat; front side of trough angles out slightly.
