Physical Description
Small mechanical darning weaver/loom consisting of wooden disk with groove around edge. A loop of elastic is threaded round groove and hooked onto a metal plate holding the pieces fast together. The metal plate is bent at two points and is embellished with a row of metal rods, 10 in all, hooked at one end and kinked at centre. The row of hooked ends overlaps the wooden disks. Hooks pivot sideways to raise the threads alternatively for weaving.
