Black cotton artificial flower made by Marion Kann. Marion (Mimi) was of born in Vienna, Austria in 1910. She immigrated to Australia in 1939, most likely fleeing the persecution of the Nazi regime as she was Jewish. In Australia she married follow a refugee and Austrian Jew Herbert Kann.

Physical Description

One artificial flower made from black stiffened cotton fabric. Constructed from five layers of petals and two leaf shapes, bound together with wire covered with black paper. One stem has some white paper and wire exposed. Stems are 8 cm long.
