Summary
Made: circa 1848 - 1950. Used in the pharmacy of a psychiatric hospital in Victoria, 1880-1950. The gauze is used with a bunsen burner tripod and is placed over the gas flame. Used to heat chemicals.
Physical Description
Burner gauze is a small flat circular plate made up of 2 layers of copper wire mesh of differing gauges with fine mesh over-lapped around edge of other side.
