Brass observation hole which would have been installed on a door in order to observe patients at a mental health hospital in Ballarat, Ballarat Mental Hospital, Victoria, Australia, circa 1900.
Physical Description
Observation hole has been set in block of wood. Consists of a shallow brass funnel, fastened by 4 screws. On the back is a missing cover with the pin remaining. Wood block has recently been labelled.
