Larard Brothers was first established as a father and son business called Larard and Son in 1873. Located in Little Collins Street, Melbourne, the business name changed to Larard Brothers in 1881, when John senior died. Larard Brothers remained trading until 1945.

Two equally sized, side-by-side stone discs with multi-coloured layered patterning, set on a gold bar brooch with engraved gold, arrow-shaped features at each end.
