9 carat gold and yellow paste boomerang sweetheart brooch made by G. & E. Rodd, Melbourne, circa 1940.
Brothers George and Ernest Rodd, trading as G. & E. Rodd, established their jewellery business in Melbourne around 1919. By the late 1930s they were the largest manufacturing jewellers in Australia. From the early 1930s they also manufactured silver and EPNS tableware.
