Summary
A peg maker used at Caloola Training Centre, Sunbury, a Victorian psychiatric hospital, circa 1920. Probably used for making clothes pegs to be used in the laundry at Caloola.
Physical Description
Grey metal peg maker. Long narrow metal plate has movable block of peg-sized metal in centre. Metal handle is coated with green plastic at end and affixed to left side of peg maker. By pulling the handle down the movable block is pushed through two metal slots before coming to rest against a raised screw. Metal is worn smooth from the repeated movement of the handle and the moveable block.
