Summary
Pink La Mode girdle with panels down back. Made and used circa 1950. Collected from a psychiatric hospital in Victoria, Australia. May have been used by a patient or staff.
Physical Description
Girdle is pink with panels down back. There are laces up and down the centre and two suspenders back and front for holding up stockings. Front has a strip of elastic on both sides of the waistband. Two strips of elastic each side of hips. Panel down the front has four snaps and four hooks-and-eyes. A strip of binding fits around inside waistband at the back.
