Poker - Fire, Iron, Circa 1930. Used at mental health hospital Mayday Hills, Beechworth, Victoria, Australia. Probably made in the blacksmith's shop at the Hospital. Wards in the Hospital were heated by open fires.
Physical Description
Forged iron poker consisting of a rod of iron twisted into a loop and hammered at one end and tapered into a point at the other. Blackened finish has been covered with rust.
