Summary
Picture Kit, Situational English for Newcomers to Australia, prepared for the Department of Immigration by the Department of Education & Science, circa 1970. The illustrations for the kit are by Peter Russell-Clarke. This kit was used as an aid for teaching children form Non-English speaking backgrounds English. The Department of Immigration also produced radio programmes and booklets, to help children learn English.
Physical Description
Cream cloth covered cardboard rectangular box with a red paper cover on front with black cartoon sketches on it and an orange circle containing the title. Box contains 51 sheets of cardboard, numbered 1-51 with colour pictures on them.
