Summary

Weaving shuttle woven with pink wool. Used in conjunction with a loom SH91.1369 by returned soldiers after World War I. A rehabilitation measure, the soldiers wore RSL Tweed which was sold for 3/6 a yard. The business grew into a commercial woollen mill in Geelong.

The loom (and associated equipment) was later purchased by donor who repaired and used it.

Physical Description

Long, narrow piece of wood with deep cut-outs at each end. Resulting prongs are rounded. A quantity of pink wool is wound around the shuttle.
