One of a pair of 9 carat gold and enamel cufflinks featuring the Coat of Arms of the City of Melbourne, made by K.G. Luke, circa 1960.
They were official gifts from the City to prominent visitors. Crafted by K.G. Luke Manufacturing of Melbourne, a private company founded by Sir Kenneth Luke.
Sir Kenneth was a self-made millionaire and a Melbourne icon who devoted his life to Australian Rules Football. He was President of the Carlton Football Club from 1936 to 1955 and President of the Victorian Football League from 1956 to 1971.

Gold and enamel cufflink in the shape of the City of Melbourne coat of arms. Shield supported by two lions. Above a kangaroo sits on a crown set amongst scrolled ribbons and a helmet. Scroll below.
