Summary
Scrubbing Brush made at the Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind circa 1960s. For many years, scrubbing brushes and other cleaning equipment were made at the R.V.I.B. site in St Kilda Road. The Brush Shop closed in 1966.
Physical Description
Small union fibre scrubbing brush with shaped wooden back. About 82 tufts of fibre have been inserted into a wooden base, which has been stuck onto a carved wooden back and fastened by four brass nails. There is a groove in the wooden back to allow the brush to be held easily. A paper sticker is in the centre of the back.
