Summary
An instruction manual titled 'Let's Talk Turtle', providing instructions for the computer commands to operate educational computerised floor-roving robot turtles which could be used for drawing shapes as it travelled.
The turtles were used by Dr. Liddy Nevile in her student research and classroom work in the 1980s. This object forms part of the Sunrise Collection which includes educational robots, software and multimedia recordings of teachers and students, mainly in Victoria, exploring new possibilities with computer programming. 'Computational thinking' in a constructionist environment was emerging in Victoria throughout the 1980s and '90s.
Physical Description
An unbound collection of 23 numbered quarto-sized pages with a cover page of hand-drawn text, and typewritten text in black ink on one side of each subsequent page and images of linework affixed within the text throughout. Each page has two holes punched centrally on the left edge.
