Founded in by William T. Rawleigh at Freeport, Illinois, in 1889, Rawleigh's became a household name throughout America, Canada and Australia, specialising in door to door sales of consumer products such as patent medicines, remedies, food additives, cleaning products and toiletries. The firm started distribution in Australia in 1928 and in 1931 established a large mulit-storey warehouse and factory in the Melbourne suburb of Brunswick, where over 200 people were employed manufacturing and packaging its products for sale by independent 'agents' or sales reps who worked door-to-door throughout Australia.

Physical Description

This booklet a cream colour. The majority of the print is black but the headings to different parts of the text is written in red. On the front cover there is a drawing in red of a Dealer at work, talking to a customer The writing on the front cover is in black and white. On the inside front cover there is a list of some employers names and the amont they earned in one year. There are various drawings throughout the booklet which illustrate the text. The spine is fixed with two staples.
