Summary
Booklet containing an article by Eric Norden titled 'American Atrocities in Vietnam'. It was published by Robert Gould (convenor of the Vietnam Action Committee in Sydney) as a reprint from the February 1966 issue of the U.S magazine 'Liberation'. The article caused a furore when first sold in Victoria and was banned by the Victorian Government as 'an obscene publication showing pictures of atrocities likely to create violence'. However the ban only served to increase sales with over 30,000 copies eventually distributed.
It was collected by Ken Norling during his participation in the anti-Vietnam war movement. Ken was a student at Monash University from 1968 to 1973, and was involved in student politics, including membership of the militant Student's for a Democratic Society.
