Physical Description

Small rectangular programme for V.R.C. races on Cup Day and Oaks Day, 1930, consisting of 36 double-sided pages bound inside thin card cover, and secured with two metal staples. Printed inside is information on betting rules, betting odds, previous winners, travel and refreshment arrangements. Cup Day races are described in detail, names of horses, owners, colours, weight carried, barrier number, colour and sex of horse, pedigree, age. Pencilled annotations have been made to Cup Day races, deleting scratched horses and writing down the numbers of the winning horses. Printing inside is in black ink, while the cover is printed in green and red. The cover has been cut along the top edge, and the top right hand cover of the cover and the first 11 pages has been torn off.
