Summary
Book of 186 pages, listing 19,352 ear marks, with descriptions and illustrations of standard markings. Compiled and issued by Director General, Department of Agriculture, N.S.W. Used at Newmarket Saleyards.
Earmarking is a non-compulsory scheme of stock identification, often considered beneficial for State Councils and stockowners and others in providing traceability of stock, evidence of stock ownership, potentially acting as a deterrent against stock theft and for the sustained use by stockowners and others as a means of stock identification.
