Badge made to commemorate the signing of the Armistice following World War I. The Armistice Agreement was signed on 11 November 1918 and later became commemorated as Remembrance Day where one minute's silence is observed at 11 am, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.
The badge depicts the flags of the allied nations (from top): United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Japan, Italy, Russia, the United States of America and France.
Physical Description
Round metal badge with gold border. Flags of 8 countries in the border. White centre circle holds text, name and city of makers on lower outer rim. Pin at back that fits into slot.
