Summary
Alternative Name(s): Button, Pin
Badge from the World War I era relating to the Maple Leaf Cafe. The Maple Leaf Cafe opened in Adelaide on Novemeber 1917, there does not appear to be any link between the cafe and the war effort but it is possible that the cafe sought to raise funds through the selling of badges. It is unclear whether this fundraising would have related to the cafe itself or to either the Australian (or possibly Canadian) servicmen.
Physical Description
Round metal badge with white background and a maple leaf in the centre. Words at top and across the leaf. Pin at back fits into slot. Name and address of maker lower outer rim.
