Fundraising badge for Army Nurses Day 1917.
Army Nurses' Day was held at Adelaide Oval in South Australia on the 27th of October 1917. The day was arranged by the Commercial Travellers' and Warehousemens' Association (C.T. & W.A.) to raise funds to support the work of army nurses serving with the Australian Imperial Force. The day was well attended and appears to have become an annual event. In total the Army Nurses' Fund raised £10,960 throughout the war.
