Badge dating to World War I depicted Admiral Sir John Rushworth Jellicoe GCB OM GCVO.

Sir John was in command of the British Grand Fleet at the Battle of Jutland, Denmark, on 31 May 1916 to 1 June 1916. He was later promoted to Admiral of the Fleet in 1919 and served as the Governor-General of New Zealand from September 1920 to November 1924.

The badge was possibly sold for fundraising purposes following the Battle of Jutland, most likely to raise funds for the Royal Australian Navy.
