Helmet-style red velour hat decorated at side with red flower made of Petersham ribbon bonded onto embossed leather. Label inside reads 'Ronald Bernarde, Melbourne.' Bernarde worked in Melbourne for many years and had a shop in Collins Street. A stamp inside the crown reads 'Northern Ireland, Cookstown'.
The hat was used in Melbourne until the 1960s.
