Summary
White iron sign with 'NICHOLSON ST' as its main legend. This sign was collected by Whelan the Wrecker and donated to the Museum in 1991 when the company went into receivership. The sign refers to the block southern end of Nicholson Street, from where it emerges from Lonsdale and Spring Streets, up to its intersection with Victoria Parade.
Physical Description
Painted, metal street sign, black writing on white paint. Sign is bowed in the middle. There are two holes drilled in one edge of the sign to allow it to be fastened to a pole. Side opposite the drilled edge has round corners. Collected by Whelan the Wrecker, probably from the corner of Nicholson Street and Victoria Parade, Fitzroy.
