Summary
Grey wool quilted single blanket used in a mental health hospital, Victoria, Australia, circa 1900. Blanket is stitched in the form of a 'Wagga' blanket.
Physical Description
Single blanket of grey woollen material. Two layers are sewn together in quilt stitching to form 9cm squares. It is bound aroud the edge with a 2cm strip of white calico (partly missing). A 5cm deep strip has been cut away along parts of one side. Hand made out of pieces of a once larger blanket, in the tradition known as 'Wagga'.
