Summary
This jacket was designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L in 1972. it was worn by the donor to David Jones 'Supreme' award in 1972. There is a photo in the RMIT archives of her at this event. She wore it with a long flowing skirt, tied at waist with long ribbon, and with a fox fur draped over her shoulder.
Donor describes it as the"Lingerie look" (laces, transparent materials, loose flowing lines), which was popular in the 1970s.
Physical Description
Cream coloured georgette top, collarless, laong-sleeved and open at the front. Trimmed with cream coloured lace at all edges. Five plastic pearl buttons at front opening, also at cuffs. Press-studs fasten cuffs.
