Summary
This clutch bag was designed and manufactured in Italy by Andrea Pfister circa 1987. It was used by Acton with the `Dressmaker' ensemble at the 1987 Melbourne Cup, and with the `Art Communicates' ensemble at the 1990 Melbourne Cup.
Prue Acton's Melbourne Cup clothing was specially designed for her to draw attention to Australian designers and in particular her forthcoming winter range.
