There is a calendar for the years 1937 and 1938, and the whole poster is an advertisement for Capstan Navy Cut and other Capstan cigarettes. The horses featured are: Carbine, Desert Gold, Gloaming, Eurythmic, Poitrel, Heroic, Windbag, Amounis, Manfred, Phar Lap, Peter Pan and Hall Mark. Each horse is shown with a jockey - Phar Lap's jockey is wearing red and green colours.
