Summary
This pair of earrings were commissioned by Prue Acton from the Melbourne jeweller Marcos Davision in 1983. They were originally designed to compliment the donor's 'Titanium' ensemble (SH 942104) at 1983 Melbourne Cup, but were not worn with then. Marcos Davison made many pieces of jewellery for Prue Acton.
Prue Acton's Melbourne Cup clothing was specially designed for her to draw attention to Australian designers and in particular her forthcoming winter range.
