Embroidery sample designed and manufactured in France by Broderie Cornely. The sample was framed and used as decoration at Prue Acton P/L in Melbourne. Broderie Cornely embroidery featured in some of Prue Acton's designs. Ribbon work similar to this decorates a cream jumper in the Museum's collection (SH 942045.)
Physical Description
Broderie cornely embroidery sample in cream coloured wooden frame. Sample is of green and gold ruffled ribbon on a thin gold lattice fabric. Frame is glass fronted and back support is attached by metal tacks. Picture wire at back is attached to two metal hanging clips.
