Summary
Finishing Table manufactured by the Melbourne Engineering Company in 1987. It was used by visually impaired workers at the Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind as a surface on which to finish mats, circa 1987 - 1992. Finishing included stencilling coloured lettering or patterns onto mats, checking depth of pile etc.
Physical Description
Large rectangular wooden table mounted at slight angle on metal base. Series of holes extend across lower edge of table. Raised edge on left hand side and across upper part of table.
