Summary
Mop made by Luigia Rosa, from rags, for display at the Italian Historical Society. Luigia was born in 1911 in the district of Altopiano di Asiago, Vicenza, Veneto region. She and her two young boys joined her husband, Silvio, in Australia 1953. They settled in Carlton and later purchased a house in Palmerston Street, Carlton where they lived until both died.
Physical Description
Mop with long wooden handle. The head is made up of strips of fabric in a variety of colours including: grey, red, white, dark blue, light blue, sky blue, red and white stripped, yellow, lemon, hot pink, magenta, green, flesh and black, it is attached to the handle with a metal holder.
