Physical Description
A small (27 mm) cupro-nickel medal struck on the occasion of the 175th Anniversary of the foundation of the Westpac Bank (Bank of New South Wales). It features a scene of two Palm Cockatoos, an endangered species.
Obverse Description
At centre within a wide rim formed by a line circle, the heads of two Palm Cockatoos one facing left, the other right with feathers on head raised with trees behind; below, Palm Cockatoo; around on wide rim, World Wildlife Fund for Nations Endangered Species 1992.
Reverse Description
At centre 175 Years (the Y developing ornate curves); above, CELEBRATING , below, AUSTRALIA'S FIRST BANK
