Summary
One of a pair of earrings commissioned by Prue Acton from the Melbourne jeweller Marcos Davidson in 1987. They were designed to be worn by the donor with the 'Dressmaker' ensemble (SH 942126) at the 1987 Melbourne Cup, but instead she wore the Melbourne Cup Trophy (SH 942128.) Marcos Davidson made many pieces of jewellery for Prue Acton.
According to the former Marketing & General Manager, all ranges were accessorised for local and overseas markets.
Physical Description
One of a pair of metal and bakelite earrings in the shape of a dressmaker's dummy/mannequin with distorted pedestal of wire. Earring a) has a small rubber insert on the earclip.
