Summary
Rectangular wooden box, roughly made, labelled 'Pure Velvet Soap'. Found in Simpson's Glove Factory, Richmond, when it was closing down in 1989, it is thought to date from the 1930s to 1940s.
Physical Description
Rectangular wooden box, roughly made, with dark blue (?) stamp with manufacturer's details on one end, with Maltese cross motif. Nailed together. Timber sides cracked and dented. Two split pieces of wood have been nailed diagonally over one end, presumably to reinforce the splitting box.
