Presented to Dr Phillip Garth Law, the Antarctic scientist, who became involved with higher education later in his career.
Physical Description
White metal bell shaped plaque. At top are three protruding sections consisting of double round shapes with spiral decorations within. At the top of the bell shape are concentric decorative arches. In the centre is a smooth area containing a stylized human figure with a laurel leaf in one hand. Above and below the smooth centre are bands of cross-hatching. At the widest section at the bottom is another smooth band with two notches at the bottom.
