Summary

Massey-Harris Reaper & Binder Trial medal, awarded to P.J. Dunn, under auspices of the Ballarat Agricultural and Pastoral Society, Mt. Blowhard, Dec 14 1893. Massey-Harris was a Canadian company formed in 1891 by the merger of A. Harris, Sons & Co. of Brantford, Ontario, and the Massey Manufacturing Co., of Toronto, Ontario. The Massey Manufacturing Co. was established by Daniel Massey, of Bond, Ontario, in 1840. The firm's first exports to Australia were made in 1886. In 1930, the firm's Australian interests merged with H.V. McKay's Sunshine Harvester Works to form H.V. McKay Massey Harris Pty Ltd.
