Summary
The first type radio frequency pentode to be manufactured by RCA. It was also their first remote cut-off pentode. It was introduced in February 1932. Used aa a Class A R. F. amplifier.

6.3 V indirectly heated cathode. This is one of the earliest valves to have a 6.3 V heater. This voltage was chosen to make them suitable for use in car radios operated from a 6 V electrical system.
