Summary

This set of 47 waterline models of United States Navy ships was made by South Salem Studios at Salem and Comet Metal Products Inc at Richmond Hill, New York, USA in 1942 or 1943. They were contracted by the US government to provide sets of models used for ship recognition training during World War II.
