Mental clock, wooden case with basket top, made in England, circa 1780.
The clock dates from the end of the 18th century, but since then it has been reconstructed and had the present dial fitted.
Physical Description
Wooden case with basket top and metal ornamentation including frets in sides and upper corners. Metal lamps as finials and urn as capital. Arch dial with painted scene and dial for chimes on eight bells (home sweet home). Glass door at back. Spring wound; anchor escapement
